Comment issues

I have noticed for quite a while now that when I try to comment on other blogspot blogs I can't post the comment. It kicks me out and has me sign in again and then won't let me leave a comment.  This has been going on for a couple months and I figured that it was a technical glitch and Google would fix it quickly. Well I'm sick of it and I've had a lot of complains that people can't comment on my blog so I checked out a blogger help forum. They told me to clear my cookies and to choose for blogger to not remember me when I sign in. So I've done both of those things. The other suggestion was to move my comments section to a separate page instead of having it embedded into each post.  So that is what I'm trying.

Please leave a comment if it allows you so that I know whether this is working or not!  Thanks so much! I hope Google works out their issues. Yet another reason for me to move on over to Wordpress...

Matching Outfits

Last Saturday we babysat baby Avery so that her mom, dad and sister could go canoeing for the day! She is such a sweet easy going baby! We had a good time and I got a small glimpse of what having twins is like.  Jonathan was working in the yard and I had both girls and the dog. But thankfully they were all well behaved:) They even took naps at the same time which was so sweet of them! I tweeted that 2 babywise babies = good schedule and naptimes. And that is so true. Both babies (one in the crib and one in the pack n play in the family room) staying on schedule and sleeping was awesome!!

Lindsy bought the girls matching outfits so it was a perfect photo-op! I outfitted the girls with some big bows and went to town clicking pictures. What's more fun that dressing two girls up alike and taking pictures??

They are so sweet together. I think they are going to be best girlfriends!! I love that they get to grow up like cousins!

4th of July

Every year Jonathan's Aunt and Uncle host a family 4th of July celebration and this year it was on Sunday. I have a picture from last year when his cousin and I were both sitting around pregnant and this year there were three babies!! (His cousin had twins in case you couldn't do the math.) So much fun!! They rent a big water slide for the big kids and Jonathan took a ride on it. We mostly stayed in the kiddie pool with Adalyn. She was loving life splashing away.
Sunday morning Adalyn wore her sailor dress for church!
 Jonathan showing off!
 Adalyn liked pool time.

Unfortunately there was a storm coming in so the wind turned towards the house and they had to quit the fireworks display. Safety first. But I was sad to miss them.

On the actual 4th, we went with Tim and Lindsy to Billie and Derek's house to celebrate with a cookout and some pool time for the kids. We haven't gotten together with all of us for so long so it was long overdue! We had a great time and wish that we could have stayed long enough to watch fireworks but some people {points at self} need an early bedtime on week nights.

Adorable flag bubble outfit! And let's talk about that headband!
What's more American than watermelon on 4th of July? Adalyn had her first taste!
All of the kids in the pool.  This was Avery's first time in a pool!
 Splashin'
I was soaked by the time she was finished splashing.
 Sharing.
Sweet Kennedy and Eli enjoying the bonfire.
Loving life and all the attention!
I could just kiss that face!
Worn out after a long weekend!
When I was looking through pictures from last 4th of July for my previous post, I couldn't believe how young Eli looked and it made me realize how big my baby will be next year. I can't believe it. But I want to treasure every moment and spending a holiday weekend with friends and family makes those memories special. Even if we were exhausted after our weekend it was worth it! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

4th of July Then and Now

We were busy go go going this holiday weekend spending time with family and friends. I'm absolutely exhausted and therefore my 4th of July and weekend wrap up with [lots] of pictures will be posted later. But in the meantime, let's look at last year compared to this year.

Anyway, I'm uploading these through blogger so I hope that they work correctly! Please ignore our crazy voices in the videos and enjoy the sweet baby!!

This is old news... It was taken a few weeks ago when Adalyn first started sitting on her own!

Having fun in her pool. Splash Splash!

A Lunch Date

After church on Sunday we went out to lunch with Billie, Derek, and Eli.  If you haven't already figured out, Jonathan and I are very routine people. Each day has a very monotonous routine. Sundays we go to the 10:10 church service and then go to Fazoli's for lunch where we always order the same food. It's so bad that the girl at Fazoli's recites our order to us before we even open our mouths to order. Yes, we're seriously boring and sometimes I just want to break the mold.  So, when Billie asked if we wanted to go to lunch after church I was thrilled to eat something other than the Penne with Creamy Basil Chicken no cheese and a diet coke on a Sunday afternoon! And food was not my only reason to be excited to go out to lunch. Of course the company was great.

It is just so sweet how Eli and Adalyn interact. He is so precious with her and I love hearing him try to say her name. We were in a booth so their high chairs were next to each other so of course I had to get my phone out to get some pictures. (We won't talk about "How are they both big enough for high chairs. They are our babies!!")  Don't you want to know what babies are thinking? I want to put some captions on these pictures.
"Hey Adalyn, Can you believe we get to sit together?? Finally! We haven't seen each other in so long. I've missed you!"
"Do you like my big boy hair cut?" -E "Yeah, but I'd rather concentrate on chewing on my finger." -A
"Seriously, LOOK at me! I'm adorable!" -E "What are doing??" -A
"You're right! I love your hair! Can I pull it??" -A  "OUCH! OK, I'm done sitting by you!" -E

HAHA! So they were precious and Eli really wanted to share some of his food with Adalyn.  I love watching them grow! And I'll be so excited to pull these pictures back out for their wedding video:) HA!  We had a great time catching up.  Sometimes life gets so hectic that you finally come up for air and realize that you haven't been able to spend any quality time with friends.  So it was wonderful and I'm so looking forward to an entire day spent with friends enjoying our kids on the 4th!

Date Night Courtesy of Groupon

On Friday night Jonathan and I went on a double date with Tim and Lindsy to see the Lexington Legends baseball team play. A couple weeks before, Lindsy had called me to see if I had seen the 2 for 1 Legends tickets on Groupon and I told her that I was thinking about getting them ($13 is a cheap date!) so she asked if we wanted to get them and then make it a double date. Sounded good to me! Lindsy was nice enough to go over to the stadium a day early to redeem our vouchers for 4 tickets together.  We wanted to make sure we had good seats. And good seats they were. Behold...

Yes, this was taken during the game. Yes, it was a perfect night for a ball game - 0 humidity and not hot. Yes the place was empty!

Jonathan's mom had asked to come in town to see Adalyn so we took advantage of free child care and enjoyed a night together!

Reminds us of old times... Back when we had social lives and did fun things on Friday nights (you know, other than grocery shopping)

They had this guy as entertainment during the innings and he was a hoot! We laughed so hard.  I wish he was at every game because I'd so make sure we came to games more often. We googled him and he travels all over to ball parks doing his "nerd" routine. So funny! We had a great time. We enjoyed ball park food (although we found out after we got food that our seats were in a special section that had waiters and an acutal menu - oh well. I wanted a ball park hotdog anyway), great company, and an exciting game (we won by scoring a run -with a throw coming into home- in the bottom of the 9th)!  I can't wait till our next date night!
