I weighed in today. I was holding my breath because I really wanted to lose weight but J reminded me that even on the Biggest Loser some weeks people just don't lose. Plus I'm building muscle back up in my legs from running. I have run 3 times since the last weigh in and I have been really careful about food. I've now gotten into the habit of only eating at meals and not snacking - even a bite - outside of meals. I definitely turned down some yummy food this past week so I was just hoping that my good eating choices and 3 workouts had paid off.
And they did! I was down 2 lbs since last Friday. Which is an overall loss of 7.4 lbs since I started 3 weeks ago! I was so excited. These 2 lbs take me below my pre-Cayden weight and they put me into a whole new set of numbers on the scale! When I think about all the work I put in, it's amazing to think that that much work only took 2 lbs off. It's so much easier to put it on than to take it off. Amiright?
This week I had a couple other fun things happen:
- My mom bought me a fun colored pair of cropped pants in a size 10!
- I worse said pants to work and didn't die of my circulation being cut off. And I felt stylish!
- I pulled out my old size 10 jeans from before Cayden and wore them to work yesterday. And they looked cute!!
- On Sunday for Cayden's dedication I couldn't find anything to wear. I'm not really a dress person and the dress I wore for Easter already felt too big so I had a skirt and the only shirt I could find to go with it was from before ADALYN and it was a size Medium and it wasn't too tight!! Now, I'm not fooling myself. Most of my mediums are waaay too tight but this shirt actually fit and I was excited. It's fun to "shop" in my own closet. Most of my clothes haven't seen daylight in 3 years and I've forgotten what all I have.
- This week I've been able to "shop" in my section of shirts from pre-Cayden!
- I'm {this close} to fitting my engagement ring on. Like I think I could have forced it on today but didn't want it to get stuck.
This coming week should be a bit more difficult to watch what I eat. We're going to be with family for the holiday weekend and we'll be at the Zoo and other places where I can't regulate as closely what food is available to eat. I'm hoping to get at least 3 runs in and hopefully I can stay within my current amount of calories that I have been eating.
Yay for a great week 3. My goal for week 4 is to lose 2.6 lbs so I can round out my weight loss with 10 lbs for the month! We shall see!
