4th of July Weekend

We had a fun and busy 4th of July weekend!  Even though we had a 3 day weekend, I felt like I needed another day to recover before going back to work!

Saturday Billie and Derek had us over to cook out.  It was delicious and then we moved the party outside to the fire pit and made ourselves s'mores!  YUM!!
Billie made us a delicious red, white and blue dessert!!

Once it got a little later, we headed downtown to watch the fireworks.  We wanted to avoid the traffic and crazy people downtown so we actually went to UK's campus and watched fireworks from the roof of the parking garage.  It was nice and we didn't get caught in traffic afterwards!

Waiting for fireworks to start!  Please disregard the fact that I had sweat off all of my make-up! It was HOT!
Cute family!
I mean seriously!  Look at that precious face!
Sunday we went to church, where they announced some amazing news about our new satellite campus!  Then we ate at Cracker Barrel for lunch.  I was craving some yummy breakfast food and it didn't disappoint!

In the afternoon we went to Louisville to Jonathan's family party.  His aunt and uncle do a big 4th of July party each year and this year they rented a 20 foot blow up water slide.  I didn't partake in the water slide, but Jonathan and some of the other adults did.  It was pretty fun to watch!  We had tons of yummy food and an awesome private fireworks display thanks to Jonathan's uncle and cousins!

Yes, I made us wear matching $5 Old Navy shirts:)  Can you see the giant slide in the background?

Jonathan and his nephew waiting to go up the slide.  They were matching in their plaid.
Coming down the slide for the first time!

The two prego girls.  Amy, Jonathan's cousin is 30 weeks with twins!!  Next year there will be 4 babies at this party!  Can you see how tired and hot and sore I look? :)

Great weekend with family and friends!!
