Bedroom Reveal

I'm so excited to show you our new bedroom!!!  I absolutely love it and feel like it is just soo soothing and calming!  Be warned: There are LOTS of pictures to follow!

Here is a picture of the room before.  The walls were a weird gold color.  Our bedspread was green and brown striped (or a flowered coverlet depending on my mood) and our side table lamps were dark with green shades.  After all the dark colors I was so ready to switch it up and go with something brighter.
(This is the new house)
(This was our room set up at our old house before we painted that room.) Somehow I can't find pictures of the entire room, but we had brown curtains, a dark/heavy picture above our bed and dark lamps.

Here is our new room!  We used a beautiful (I think) tan color.  Not too dark, not too light and it blends with the bedding.  And if you remember my post a while back about bedding, we obviously went with the Pottery Barn bedding.  I found it ultra on sale and was soo excited!

I had a pillow monogrammed. (This is my first thing to have monogrammed.  I'm a northern girl and people there don't do such things.  But I love it!!) And I found a couple pillows that pull in the green I used in my bedroom before (which is still being used in our bathroom), and a light blue.  I'm still playing around with layering the pillows.  We have a lot! :)

My parents gave us this awesome wall hanging as a housewarming gift.  I love it.  It's so wispy but modern and brings in all of my colors!  I had no clue what to put over our bed (since we don't have a headboard yet) and when I saw this, I loved it!
I found this lettering at Target and loved the idea of having this saying in my bedroom.  And it was a perfect size to fill up this blank wall.  (Sorry about the glare on the wall.) I found the drapes at Target on sale! Yay!  Again, I didn't know what I wanted, but I took a risk on the blue and loved it!  We already had the bench and pillows.

The old table lamps clashed (really bad) with the new wall color and I knew I wanted something that gave off more light.  I really loved these clear lamps at Target.

And they just so happened to match my new drapery rods!  I just love the light feel of the clear finials.
Here are the other two walls of our bedroom.  These decorations were all in our bedroom at the old house so I was able to use them again!

Here's a picture of our master bathroom.  We painted it a lighter tan than our bedroom.  We had a garden tub and shower stall (I miss my garden tub!) in our old house, so I had to get a shower curtain and I thought this brought the feel of our bedding into the bathroom.  We also got a curved shower curtain rod, which I highly recommend!!  All of the decorations (including the white shelf) were in our bathroom at the old house and I really like how it turned out!
All in all, I'm soo happy with how everything turned out!  Having a calm and decorated bedroom makes me feel so much more at ease:)

This is so funny...our bedroom is painted the same color AND we have the same drapes from Target AND we have vinyl lettering on our wall! Ours says "Be still and know that I am God" - it has calmed me before if I've woken up from a nightmare or something. :) Your bedroom looks awesome!

The rooms look fabulous!! I am laughing because the wall color is my current living room color (that sadly doesn't go with my new green... so I may change it... and the curtains are the exact same color as my living room curtains!!) just saying your bedroom matches my livingroom if you don't look at the kitchen walls! ha ha! and my bathroom upstairs is a slightly lighter brown! hm.. we think a like a bit... and I love your branch decor!! love it! I need a budget and time to finish all the decorating and painting I start and never finish! =) blah blah... sorry... I keep rambling on all your blogs... I need to get outside I think and walk the dog!! =)
